Planet Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

Car People Marketing's March edition of Dealer of the Month presents Planet Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram located in Franklin, Massachusetts. I was able to catch up with Dan Briggs, the Service Manager at Planet Chyrsler Jeep Dodge Ram, and ask him a few questions relating to his service department. 

Jared: "How did you start your career in the automotive industry, and how long have you been with Planet Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram?" 
Dan: I started working in the car business by selling cars on the weekends when I was a senior in high school and also through college. I worked for Ford Motor Company on the corporate side for 18 years before I joined Planet CJDR. I joined the Planet Organization in a retail role about 3.5 years ago and have been running the Service Department for 3 years now."

"What is one thing that most people do not know about your dealership?"
"Most people don't realize we maintain a warm, friendly, un-pressured environment here at Planet CJDR. We constantly strive to treat every one of our customers as if they were our own mother!

"Why do you think your customers choose you over the competition?"

"Our customers appreciate the 5 main components we consistently deliver at our dealership to ensure our team is headed towards success. These include: kindness, convenience through 'Express-Type service', honesty in everything we do, value, and overall quality of work."

"What are some of the things you do to create loyal customers that keep returning to your store?"
"We always offer personable, small-town service with a smile. It's something we stand behind, and something our customers keep coming back for."

"What have you done in the past year to grow your business?"
"We have made great efforts to increase our marketing reach beyond our own internal database to prospect customers within a reasonable distance around our dealership. Using aggressive, special-offer pricing paired with our added capacity through our Express Lane and main shop, we have numerous value-added benefits for our customers."

"If you could give one piece of advice for someone that is a new Service Manager, what would it be?
"Foster the Team: We are only as strong as the weakest link. If everyone is sincere and working together you cannot help but to win. If negative energy festers in your service department, you will lose. Negative energy and attitudes are directly correlated with negative results. Always strive to hire for quality AND attitude - cycle out those who do not fit the mold!"
